A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team for projects across the Limerick and Midlands region. Reporting to a Contracts Manager, you will oversee a full project team and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery within budget and programme requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee daily site operations, supervising the workforce and monitoring subcontractors.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, design teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely in line with legislative and company requirements.
  • Lead daily site briefings and ensure method statements & risk assessments are implemented.
  • Promote best practices in site housekeeping and incident reporting.
  • Supervise site engineering activities, setting out and surveying.
  • Deliver projects snag-free to client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, site engineers and service coordinators for accurate, timely delivery.
  • Resolve technical challenges, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee RFI and submittals processes, ensuring up-to-date registers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, designers, consultants, planners and site teams.
  • Manage requisitions for materials and plant
  • Monitor progress against programme, escalate risks and assist with programme updates.
  • Ensure plant and equipment are maintained in good order.
  • Maintain clear records and report to head office as required.

 

Requirements include:

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 7 years’ construction management experience, including previous project management experience.
  • Familiarity with public works and standard forms of contract.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven mentoring experience with junior team members.
  • Solid understanding of BIM and digital construction technologies.
  • Highly proficient IT skills and ability to drive innovation.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, teams and subcontractors.
