An established construction contractor is seeking experienced Project Managers with strong building experience to join high-performing project teams across the Leinster region with projects all across Dublin, Louth, Meath, Kildare etc.
This is an opportunity to work on high-profile projects for blue-chip clients within a stimulating and technically demanding construction environment.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality, safety and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the construction programme alongside the Contracts Manager, ensuring key project milestones are achieved.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to the project team.
- Determine project staffing requirements and communicate effectively with the wider team.
- Implement the company's safety systems and establish a strong safety culture across the project.
- Manage project quality throughout the lifecycle, ensuring build quality consistently meets expectations.
- Control project costs, including preliminaries and package expenditure.
- Work closely with the commercial team to achieve agreed commercial objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with the client team and keep stakeholders informed of claims, delays and key project matters.
- Coordinate the project team to ensure effective planning, delivery and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
You will ideally have:
- A third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience managing complex commercial construction projects.
- Experience across General Contracting, New Build and Fit-Out projects.
- Proven Design & Build experience.
- A strong track record of planning and delivering complex projects.
- Strong technical capability, numeracy and report-writing skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- A commercially aware approach, with the ability to identify and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including MS Office, MS Project or a similar scheduling package.
