Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead a new build commercial project in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project from inception to completion, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress and adjust as needed to ensure timely completion.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of construction are met.
- Manage the project budget, including cost estimation, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Handle any issues that arise promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders. Provide progress reports and updates as required.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years leading commercial projects valued at €20 million or more.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, BIM 360).
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a large team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the project meet the required standards.
