A well-established food manufacturing business in the Monaghan region is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance Technician. Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Quality & Technical Manager, the successful candidate will support the implementation and ongoing management of quality systems (HACCP, BRC, customer specifications) while leading internal audits, quality KPIs, and product investigations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain HACCP, SOPs, and the site’s Food Safety Management System.

  • Conduct internal audits and work cross-functionally to close out findings.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support project delivery.

  • Analyse production KPIs and assist in resolving quality issues on-site.

  • Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints.

  • Liaise with production and maintenance teams to enforce standards.

  • Contribute to the upkeep of compliance with legislation, BRC, and customer requirements.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QA/QC role within food manufacturing.

  • In-depth understanding of HACCP, BRC, and food legislation.

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Excel and general IT systems.

  • Experience leading audits and working in a fast-paced environment.
