Quality Engineer
We’re working with a manufacturing business in Co. Antrim who are looking to bring a Quality Engineer into their team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be right in the mix of production, suppliers, and continuous improvement, making sure quality standards stay where they need to be.
What you’ll be doing:
– Supporting and developing the Quality Management System, including audits
– Working closely with suppliers (UK and international) on product and component quality
– Driving root cause analysis and putting proper corrective actions in place
– Using problem-solving tools and statistical methods to identify trends and fix issues
– Supporting production teams to minimise downtime caused by quality issues
– Handling non-conformance, containment actions, and long-term corrective solutions
– Supporting new product introduction and quality planning activities
– Carrying out supplier audits and responding to customer quality queries
– Working closely with quality inspectors on investigations and continuous improvement
What they’re looking for:
– Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a manufacturing/quality environment
– Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication and assembly ideal)
– Experience in quality control, inspection, or supplier quality
– Comfortable working with data, quality tools, and Microsoft Office
Nice to have:
– Supplier management experience
– Audit experience (internal or external)
– Exposure to APQP / new product introduction
– Experience supervising or supporting others
– Previous QMS ownership or involvement
