About Our Client:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Belfast, is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their quality assurance team. This role is crucial in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards and customer specifications, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and systems to ensure product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and support new product development.
- Prepare quality reports and documentation, including control plans, quality metrics, and inspection standards.
- Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality specifications and drive improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with quality management software.
