Quantity Surveyor – Major Construction Projects

Location: Cork, Ireland Salary: €65,000 – €85,000 per annum + Comprehensive Benefits

The Employer

We are recruiting confidentially for a Tier 1 Main Contractor, widely recognised for delivering significant, multi-million euro commercial and civil engineering projects across Ireland. The Role

We are seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to manage key commercial packages on a large project in the Cork region. Reporting to a Senior Surveyor, your primary focus will be on maximising cost recovery and ensuring robust commercial control from procurement through final account.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage all subcontract procurement, documentation, and final agreements.
Conduct detailed cost analysis, valuations, and payment certification for subcontractors.
Produce accurate monthly cost reports (CVRs) and project financial forecasts.
Manage all variations and change control processes with clients and subcontractors.

Candidate Profile

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
3+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally gained with a Main Contractor on high-value projects.
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., RIAI, Public Works).
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
