Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Banbridge, Co. Down
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + package
Type: Full-time, Permanent
A well-established, client-focused construction contractor with a strong reputation across Northern Ireland and Ireland is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
The company has a proven track record across residential, commercial, healthcare and education projects, with a particular strength in delivering high-quality projects through a hands-on and collaborative approach.
The Role
Based from the company’s Banbridge office, with travel to sites as required, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.
- Prepare valuations, cost reports, forecasts and variations.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts.
- Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
- Carry out measurement, take-offs and pricing.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
- Support project teams with commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost control.
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working on school/education projects would be advantageous.
