We are recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer to join a high-performing construction team delivering major projects in the Netherlands.

Our client is an established international construction contractor specialising in critical environments, including Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing and Critical Logistics. The business works with leading blue-chip clients on high-profile projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager/Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the technical and engineering aspects of construction works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme and in accordance with drawings, specifications and Building Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day technical and engineering requirements on site.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and design team workshops.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures in line with the project quality plan.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners and quantity surveyors.
• Support the Project and Contracts Managers with programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Identify information gaps and develop practical solutions with project and design teams.
• Maintain strong working relationships with the wider construction team and subcontractors.
• Ensure construction works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.

About You

• Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC, inspection test plans, quality documentation and defect prevention.
• Highly competent in setting out, surveying, levelling and site control systems.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
• Experience with temporary works coordination.
• Strong numerical, technical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver works within budget and programme.
• Confident decision-maker with the ability to identify when issues require escalation.
• Computer literate, with experience using MS Project or similar planning software.
