Senior Project Manager

About the Role:
On behalf of a prestigious construction company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large commercial projects valued at €50 million and above. This company has an outstanding reputation for delivering high-profile projects on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards.
This role is ideal for a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in large-scale commercial construction who is ready to manage complex projects from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of large-scale commercial projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Team Management: Oversee project teams, including site managers, engineers, foremen, and subcontractors, to ensure effective collaboration and project alignment.
- Budget & Financial Control: Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance meets company targets.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring open communication and strong relationships.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce health and safety regulations on site, creating a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications and exceeds client expectations.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Develop detailed project schedules, coordinate resources and subcontractors, and ensure timely completion of all project milestones.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and financial performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise during the project to avoid delays or disruptions.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management, with at least 5 years managing large-scale commercial projects of €50 million or more.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices, particularly in large commercial projects.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to manage complex budgets, understand project financials, and deliver projects within financial targets.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing client expectations and multiple stakeholders.
- Leadership Ability: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the capacity to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and other relevant safety and management certifications.
