Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Omagh, Co. Tyrone
Salary: £45,000 - £75,000 (DOE)
Our client, a well-established civils contractor based in Omagh, is seeking an Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. With projects spanning general civils, housing, renewable energy, and wind farms, this role offers variety, career progression, and exposure to high-value, impactful projects. The Role
- Deliver projects in line with agreed specifications, programmes, and budgets.
- Act as a key point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide pre-contract advice on terms and conditions during the sales phase where required.
- Maintain full command of project briefs, ensuring compliance at every stage.
- Prepare subcontract tender documents, lead negotiations, and appoint subcontractors.
- Review and approve subcontractor payments, including variations and recharges.
- Manage contractual matters including variations, notices, relevant events, debt recovery, retentions, and claims.
- Collaborate with project and site management teams to track progress and resolve issues.
- Regularly review financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and apply best practices.
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and agreement.
Criteria
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years’ total experience, including at least 5 years at Senior QS level.
- Proven track record across civils, housing, or renewable energy projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
