Job Description:
As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various aspects a residential construction project in Lusk, County Dublin. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Your leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage all engineering activities on-site, including planning, coordination, and execution of construction tasks to meet project timelines and objectives.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that workmanship and materials meet project requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to site staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve engineering-related issues and challenges effectively.
Health and Safety: Champion a strong safety culture on-site by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
Progress Reporting: Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and prepare regular progress reports for management, highlighting any deviations from the project schedule or budget.
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Resource Management: Manage engineering resources efficiently, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including engineering drawings, records, and reports, to support project documentation requirements and facilitate project audits.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in residential construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
