An established Tier 1 building contractor with a long-standing reputation for excellence in delivering complex construction projects across Ireland is seeking a Senior Site Engineer for a new apartment development in Swords, Co. Dublin.

The Role

The Senior Site Engineer will play a key role in overseeing engineering and technical aspects of the apartment development. Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager, you’ll ensure that works are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of construction and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage setting out and site surveying for all structural and architectural elements
  • Oversee quality assurance, technical documentation, and compliance with specifications
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams to resolve on-site issues
  • Maintain accurate records, drawings, and as-built information
  • Support the management team in planning and sequencing of works
  • Contribute to safety and environmental management on site
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a site engineering role with a main contractor
  • Strong background in reinforced concrete and apartment or multi-unit residential projects
  • Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with surveying instruments and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Station, GPS)
  • A proactive and professional attitude, with leadership potential for future management progression
