About the Role:
An established and well-respected construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take the lead on a nursing home development in London. This is a key role involving fortnightly travel from Ireland, with all travel, accommodation, and expenses fully covered.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex residential or healthcare projects to a high standard and will be capable of managing all site operations independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site activities on a live nursing home construction project
- Manage subcontractors, site staff, and logistics to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Maintain strict health & safety and quality control standards
- Liaise with the project management team, design consultants, and client representatives
- Monitor and report on programme progress, budgets, and site documentation
- Lead site meetings and ensure clear communication across all parties
- Drive handover and snagging processes to completion
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior site management role on residential or healthcare projects
- Experience with UK construction regulations and practices is an advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong focus on quality control, safety, and programme management
- SMSTS (or equivalent), Safe Pass, and relevant up-to-date safety training
- Willingness and ability to travel to London
