We’re working with a well-established engineering business that delivers installation, maintenance and reactive support across commercial environments.
They run a busy service division with long-term contracts and a strong engineering team on the ground. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Electrical Service Manager to take ownership of service delivery and lead their engineering workforce.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role managing day-to-day service operations and overseeing a team of 14 engineers – primarily Electricians.
You’ll be responsible for making sure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while keeping both engineers and clients supported.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and leading a team of 14 service engineers (mainly Electricians)
- Overseeing reactive and planned maintenance operations
- Planning workloads, scheduling engineers and allocating resources
- Monitoring performance, service standards and KPIs
- Supporting engineer development, performance management and training
- Maintaining strong client relationships and service delivery standards
- Driving operational improvements and efficiency
What They’re Looking For
- Proven management experience within an electrical service or maintenance environment (essential)
- Experience leading teams of field-based electrical engineers
- Strong operational and organisational skills
- Confident managing workloads, priorities and service performance
- Excellent communication and leadership ability
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset
- This role will suit someone who understands the realities of managing electrical service teams and can lead from the front.
