Site Agent / Senior Engineer – Civil Engineering (Roads & Infrastructure)
Location: Louth
Salary: €65000 – €70,000
We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead delivery on a major road construction project in Louth, with a strong focus on earthworks and road construction
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, direct labour and sub-contractors for all Earthworks and Site Works elements of a new road construction project
- Drive the pace of the project and plan the work in the field
- Temporary Works Design & Coordination
- Takes ownership for ensuring that HSQE protocols are adhered to on sites at all times
- Maintains quality control procedures at all times
- You will liaise with the Project Manager on day-to-day basis.
- Provide input and direction on the project with a focus on Constructability, Costs and Efficiency
- Maintain and complete comprehensive site records, in line with company procedures
- Flags any issues with the Contract Management Team, which have the potential to have an impact on the effective delivery of the project - I.e., materials, works schedules, resources, H&S matters or issues relating to cost or delivery schedule
- Contributes to and completes project programmes, at various levels i.e. overall programme, 6-week lookaheads and 3-week lookaheads.
- Coordinates and priorities the sequence of activities on site
- Follows the Project Plan as a means of ensuring that work is carried out on time and on budget
About You:
- You will have a relevant degree, BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years hands on operational experience managing a range of Civil Engineering projects.
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within roads or infrastructure
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of earthworks and site operations
- Confident in programme planning and short-term scheduling
- Committed to high standards of health & safety and quality
