Job Title: Site Engineer (Residential & Commercial Projects)

Job Summary:

We are recruiting an experienced and detail-oriented Site Engineer on behalf of our client for various residential and commercial projects in Cork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical aspects of projects are executed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality construction work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise and manage all engineering activities on-site, ensuring that all work aligns with technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Surveying & Setting Out: Conduct precise site surveys and setting out tasks using advanced surveying equipment, ensuring all construction works are carried out according to plan.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures, ensuring that all construction work meets the required standards of quality and safety.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material inventories.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all site operations comply with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe and secure working environment.
  • Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, addressing any technical challenges promptly.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve on-site technical issues efficiently to prevent delays and ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer, with a background in both residential and commercial projects.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in surveying instruments and CAD software
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods for both residential and commercial projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
