About the Role:

On behalf of an established residential main contractor, we are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join a 150-unit housing project in Midleton, Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer with over 5 years of experience to play a key role in delivering a high-quality residential development.

The successful candidate will oversee site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards. You will be joining a team renowned for excellence in residential construction and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Site Engineering: Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying on-site to ensure works align with project specifications.

Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.

Project Coordination: Work closely with the Site Manager and project team to plan, execute, and monitor progress in line with project schedules.

Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Technical Support: Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals, providing advice to site teams as needed.

Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, reports, and daily logs.

 

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer, preferably on residential projects.

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and construction management software such as AutoCAD.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and standards.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with site teams and stakeholders.

Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates are required.
