Site Engineer – Civil / Utilities

A well-established civil engineering and utilities contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the west of Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Co. Mayo.
We work on complex utilities and civils schemes and pride ourselves on high standards, teamwork, and safety excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Checking levels, dimensions, and alignments on site
- Ensuring accurate recording of site data and progress reports
- Coordinating with surveyors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Supporting site management with problem solving and technical queries
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in setting out on civil or utilities projects
- Proficient with survey equipment (GPS/Total Station preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and methodology
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence
