An established and highly respected Irish main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on a €6.4 million residential development in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

With decades of experience delivering high-quality residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and civil engineering projects across Ireland, this contractor has built an excellent reputation for quality, safety, and successful project delivery. The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out using modern surveying equipment.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure works are delivered accurately.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, and programme requirements.
• Assist with quality inspections and maintain accurate site records.
• Coordinate subcontractors and support day-to-day site operations.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are implemented and maintained on site.
• Prepare site reports, as-built records, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with the design team, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Irish Driving License or right to work in Ireland
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a main contractor.
• Residential construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong setting-out skills and experience using surveying equipment.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, quality standards, and Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
