Our client, a growing civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its project team in Limerick.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of utilities and public realm projects, working closely with the Project Manager, site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.
The Role
- Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to support the smooth delivery of works.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Carry out accurate site setting out using Total Station and GPS equipment.
- Ensure works are completed in line with company quality standards.
- Attend site meetings and help resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities and progress.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
The Person
- Previous experience in a similar Site Engineer position.
- Experience within utilities or public realm projects would be highly beneficial.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong setting-out experience using GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and general IT systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Accurate and consistent approach to site records and documentation.
