An established and highly regarded residential developer is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a major housing development in Co. Cork.

With a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential schemes across Ireland, this developer has built an excellent reputation for quality workmanship, professional project delivery and creating well-designed communities. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of developments, they are now looking to add a capable Site Engineer to their construction team.

 

The Role

Working closely with the Site Management and wider project team, you will play a key role in ensuring the development is delivered safely, accurately and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out and surveying works accurately in line with project drawings and specifications.
  • Carrying out site measurements, levels and dimensional checks.
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Providing technical support to the Site Management team and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with design, quality and programme requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of site activities, measurements and inspections.
  • Assisting with quality control and ensuring construction works meet the required standards.
  • Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers where required.
  • Supporting the management team with the coordination and sequencing of works.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A relevant engineering or construction-related qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience in a Site Engineer role, preferably within residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of setting out and surveying techniques.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and building standards.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, surveying equipment and relevant engineering software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team.
  • A proactive attitude with the confidence to take ownership of your responsibilities.
