Company Overview:

An established main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality commercial projects throughout Ireland. We are currently seeking a skilled Setting Out Site Engineer to join. Starting with a €30m commercial project in Limerick.

 

Job Overview:

The Setting Out Site Engineer will be responsible for providing accurate setting out and surveying services on a commercial project in Limerick. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with a main contractor and will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is completed to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise setting out, levelling, and surveying operations using Total Stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment. Ensure all work is accurately set out and complies with project drawings and specifications.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard. Conduct regular checks and inspections to verify accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all setting out and surveying activities. Prepare and submit daily site reports, survey logs, and as-built drawings as required.
  • Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate setting out activities and resolve any issues that may arise. Ensure clear and effective communication on all technical matters.
  • Ensure all setting out activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment on-site.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site team, ensuring all setting out tasks are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve any setting out issues promptly. Work closely with the site management team to ensure any discrepancies or challenges are addressed effectively.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a main contractor on commercial projects. Proven track record of successful setting out and surveying.
  • Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to address and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all setting out and surveying activities.
