Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our team for a factory/warehouse project in North Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established main contractor and contribute to a high-profile construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting out, volume calculations, and Autocad, as well as experience supervising and managing groundwork teams and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting Out and Volume Calculations:

  • Perform precise setting out and surveying for the project.
  • Conduct volume calculations and ensure accurate measurements for excavation and construction work.
  • Use appropriate surveying equipment and techniques to ensure the project is built to the correct specifications.

• Autocad:

  • Utilise Autocad software for creating, reviewing, and modifying project drawings.
  • Ensure that all drawings are up-to-date and accurately reflect the project's requirements.
  • Work closely with the design team to resolve any discrepancies or design issues.

• Supervising and Managing Groundwork Teams:

  • Oversee and manage groundwork teams, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate daily activities and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site.

• Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify that all work meets the required specifications and standards.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively to prevent rework and delays.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience as a Site Engineer.
• Proficiency in setting out and volume calculations.
• Strong knowledge of Autocad software.
• Experience supervising and managing groundwork teams.
• Excellent understanding of quality control processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
