Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee a significant housing development project in Blanchardstown. The project involves the construction of 200+ houses and 75 apartments, with substantial progress already made. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a high-profile residential project.

Reporting To: Project Manager

Purpose of Role

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead the site team and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all activities are aligned with the project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress, including the laying of foundations, erection of timber-framed houses, and installation of cranes.
  • Implement and enforce the company's health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
  • Manage site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
  • Foster strong relationships with supply chain partners and design team partners, ensuring collaborative and efficient project execution.

The Candidate

  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Manager role, preferably on residential projects.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
