Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee a significant housing development project in Navan. This project involves the construction of multiple housing units, with substantial progress already underway. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a high-profile residential development.

Reporting To: Project Manager

Purpose of Role:

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead the site team and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all activities align with the project schedule.
  • Project Monitoring: Track project progress, including foundation laying, structural work, and installations.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status and address any issues promptly.
  • Documentation Management: Manage site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with supply chain and design team partners, ensuring collaborative and efficient project execution.

The Candidate:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Site Manager role, preferably on residential projects.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Organisation: Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Regulations Knowledge: Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
