Location: North Dublin (near Dublin Airport)
Project Duration: Until July 2025
Salary: €60,000 - €75,000
Position: Permanent (Future projects in Dublin)

Overview:

A reputable main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager/Foreman to oversee the construction of an industrial/warehouse project near Dublin Airport. The project is set to run until July 2025, with a permanent position offered, as the company has several upcoming projects in the Dublin region. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for managing the project from its current phase through to completion, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are always maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management: Take full responsibility for daily site activities, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Coordination: Organise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to the construction schedule.
Health & Safety: Implement and enforce all health and safety procedures, conducting toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily safety checks to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Control: Ensure that all works are completed to the required specifications and that quality is consistently monitored and maintained.
Project Planning: Work with senior management to plan and sequence construction activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timeline adherence.
Material Management: Manage the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials, ensuring no delays or shortages affect project timelines.
Problem-Solving: Proactively address any issues or delays that arise on site, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
Documentation: Complete all site paperwork, including daily reports, safety inspections, and progress records, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Site Manager/Foreman role, ideally within industrial, commercial, or warehouse construction projects.
Qualifications: Relevant construction management qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid). A degree or diploma in construction or a related field is advantageous.
Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Health & Safety: Proven experience in managing health and safety on site, with a track record of enforcing safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
