A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-profile construction project based in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This company specialises in Residential, Commercial, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical projects.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead day-to-day site operations, supervising direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Deliver the project safely, on programme, within budget, and snag free.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the client, design teams, and supply chain.
  • Manage site resources and plan work in line with the construction programme.
  • Oversee health & safety compliance and ensure legislative requirements are met.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and resolve any site issues.
  • Ensure high standards of finish and complete the project to client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments and site documentation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the client and project stakeholders.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a Site Manager role.
  • Relevant qualification in Construction or Project Management (desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects safely and to programme.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office and scheduling software.
  • A proactive, commercially conscious professional who can motivate teams.
