An established and highly respected Irish main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its team on a major pharmaceutical construction project based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all on-site construction activities and coordinating subcontractors.
• Driving a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across the site.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, and client expectations.
• Coordinating daily site operations and maintaining efficient project workflows.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, design team, and client representatives.
• Monitoring progress, resolving site issues, and maintaining project momentum.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on progress to senior management.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Previous experience delivering pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare, or other technically complex construction projects.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, health & safety legislation, and quality standards.
• Relevant construction qualifications together with valid Safe Pass and other required site certifications.
