An established and highly respected Irish contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its growing team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality residential housing developments across Co. Carlow.

This position is ideally suited to a Site Manager with a strong civil engineering or groundworks background, who is looking to play a key role in the delivery of residential developments from infrastructure through to completion.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential housing developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all on-site construction activities, with a particular focus on infrastructure and enabling works.
- Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to maintain programme milestones.
- Overseeing site infrastructure, roads, drainage, utilities, and groundworks before progressing through the housing build programme.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
- Monitoring programme performance and implementing solutions to keep projects on schedule.
- Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Managing site logistics, materials, and resources efficiently.
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local stakeholders.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering residential developments.
- A civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure background with experience managing roads, drainage, and utility installations.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A thorough understanding of Irish health & safety legislation and construction regulations.
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications together with valid Safe Pass and other required site certifications.
