Site Manager – Restoration & Conservation Project

A highly respected main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex restoration, refurbishment and conservation projects is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a landmark project in Dublin City Centre.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the restoration and redevelopment of a significant historic building in a busy city-centre location, working with a contractor renowned for quality workmanship, attention to detail and successful project delivery.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily site operations and ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed in line with specifications and conservation requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Attend and lead site meetings, toolbox talks and progress reviews.
• Manage site logistics in a busy city-centre environment.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
• Drive project progress while ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding areas.
• Assist with project handover and close-out activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Experience delivering restoration, refurbishment, conservation or complex building projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control and site management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work within programme deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Relevant construction qualification or trade background preferred.
