Site Manager – Restoration Project

A well-established Irish construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a prestigious restoration project in Westport, Co. Mayo.
The company has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality restoration, conservation, refurbishment and new-build projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a unique project while being part of an experienced and professional construction team.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily running of the restoration project.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and specialist contractors.
- Monitor programme, progress and quality of works.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and conservation requirements.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the site.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, client and design team.
- Manage site logistics, labour, materials and deliveries.
- Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging through to completion.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Attend site and progress meetings.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
- Previous experience on restoration, conservation or refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and quality control.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
- Relevant construction qualification or trade background.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and specialist contractors.
