Site Manager – Commercial & Retail Fit-Out

Location: Dublin-based, with travel across Ireland
Salary: €60,000–€75,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join an established specialist contractor delivering high-quality commercial and retail fit-out projects across Ireland.

With a strong track record in turnkey retail installations, commercial interiors and fit-out solutions, the business works across a variety of retail sectors, delivering projects from initial strip-out through to final handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with a background in fit-out or joinery to take ownership of site delivery, coordinate multiple trades and ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site operations from demolition and strip-out through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades, including drylining, partitions, ceilings, joinery, finishes and M&E installations.
• Liaise with clients, shopping centre management and other stakeholders regarding access, permits, deliveries and site requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, including RAMS, site inductions, toolbox talks and permits to work.
• Monitor project programmes, identify potential delays and implement solutions.
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries and site logistics.
• Prepare weekly site reports and maintain accurate records, including site diaries, labour, variations and progress photographs.
• Carry out quality inspections, manage snagging and oversee project handover.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure client expectations and project specifications are met.
• Lead, motivate and coordinate site teams, taking a hands-on approach where required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager within commercial or retail fit-out.
• Background in joinery, carpentry or fit-out construction.
• Strong knowledge of strip-out, partitions, ceilings, internal finishes and M&E coordination.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to site management.
• Flexible to work nights and weekends when project requirements demand.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland and available to travel across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK.
