We are seeking a skilled Site Manager to join our team for an exciting residential housing project in Galway City.
Job Overview:
The Site Manager will oversee the daily operations of a residential housing development in Galway City. The successful candidate will ensure that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards. Oversee subcontractors, trades, and labourers to ensure efficient and quality workmanship.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and enforce quality standards. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with the project specifications.
- Develop and manage the site schedule. Coordinate with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure the project progresses on schedule.
- Oversee the allocation and use of on-site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment. Ensure resources are used efficiently to meet project goals.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively. Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and site instructions. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and properly filed.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on site progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure all site activities comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction site management, with a focus on residential housing projects. Proven track record of managing similar projects successfully.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) tools is a plus.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of making decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all aspects of the project.
