We are currently seeking a talented Construction Site Manager to for a commercial project in Limerick.
Job Overview:
The Construction Site Manager will oversee daily operations on-site for a new build commercial project valued at over €25 million. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. Supervise subcontractors, trades, and labourers.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Monitor work quality and implement quality control procedures. Ensure all work meets the project's standards and specifications.
- Develop and maintain the site schedule. Coordinate with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
- Manage on-site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment. Ensure efficient use of resources to meet project goals.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively. Communicate and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and site instructions. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and properly filed.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on site progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure all site activities comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction site management, with at least 5 years managing commercial projects valued at €20 million or more.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) tools.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all aspects of the project.
