A well-established construction company with a strong reputation in delivering high-quality residential projects is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a new development in Kilkenny. This is a key role for a hands-on professional with a solid background in housing or mixed-use construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work closely with the contracts and project management team to ensure seamless communication and planning
- Maintain detailed site records including daily reports, safety audits, and progress tracking
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets specifications and quality standards
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and external stakeholders as required
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role, ideally on residential or mixed-use projects
- Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and health & safety legislation
- Proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on-site
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Relevant construction qualification or trade background preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage build programmes
