The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining programme requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all on-site construction activities and coordinating subcontractors.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Delivering works in accordance with programme, budget, and client expectations.
- Coordinating site logistics and sequencing works within a live pharmaceutical facility.
- Working closely with the Project Manager, design team, and client representatives.
- Monitoring progress and resolving site issues proactively.
- Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on project performance.
- Promoting a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
- Experience delivering pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, or similarly regulated construction projects.
- Previous involvement in refurbishment, extension, or live environment projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and quality management.
- Relevant construction qualification together with valid Safe Pass and CSR/CSCS certifications.
