A well-established and highly regarded residential developer is seeking an experienced Snagger to join their team, working across a number of high-quality private new build residential developments in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.
With extensive experience delivering residential developments and a strong reputation for quality, attention to detail and high standards of construction, the company has established itself as a trusted name within the Irish housing market. With multiple projects progressing, this is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional to join an experienced team and play an important role in delivering homes to a high standard.
The Role
As a Snagger, you will be responsible for identifying, recording and helping to resolve defects and outstanding works across newly constructed homes prior to handover.
You will work closely with Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider project team to ensure properties are completed to the required quality standards and are ready for occupation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed inspections of newly constructed homes.
- Identifying defects, incomplete works and areas requiring remedial attention.
- Recording snagging items accurately and maintaining clear records of outstanding works.
- Inspecting internal and external finishes, including kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, flooring, decoration and fixtures.
- Checking workmanship against drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
- Liaising with Site Management and subcontractors to ensure snagging items are addressed efficiently.
- Carrying out follow-up inspections to confirm remedial works have been completed to the required standard.
- Assisting with pre-handover inspections and ensuring homes are presented to a high standard.
- Highlighting recurring issues and helping the project team maintain consistent quality across the development.
- Working across multiple properties and developments as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a snagging, quality control, finishing or residential construction role.
- Strong knowledge of new build residential construction and finishes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for defects and poor workmanship.
- A good understanding of building standards and quality expectations.
- The ability to identify both minor and significant construction defects.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to resolving issues.
- The confidence to liaise professionally with Site Managers and subcontractors.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider site team.
- A full clean driving licence would be advantageous.
